Recipe Summary Joe's Turkey Brine
Combination of two of my favorite recipes.Ingredients | Peanut Dressing Trader Joe's1 gallon low-sodium vegetable broth½ gallon apple cider½ gallon apple juice2 quarts water1 ½ cups kosher salt3 tablespoons poultry seasoning3 tablespoons onion powder1 tablespoon ground black pepper1 tablespoon crushed dried rosemary1 tablespoon rubbed dried sage1 tablespoon dried thyme leavesDirectionsIn a large stock pot over medium heat, pour in the vegetable broth, apple cider, apple juice, and water; stir in kosher salt, poultry seasoning, onion powder, black pepper, rosemary, sage, and thyme. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring until all salt has dissolved, and boil for 30 minutes to extract flavors from herbs. Remove from heat, and allow to cool to room temperature before using as a turkey brine; allow brined turkey to marinate overnight.The nutrition data for this recipe includes the full amount of the brine ingredients.
