Emerald bay is not only one of the most photographed spots in lake tahoe,but it is also one of the most photographed locations in the world.the combination of the sierra nevada mountains,the epic sunsets,and the amazing water clarity can and does make for some of the most breathtaking images.

Recipe Summary Emerald-Drop Snow Tea

This recipe was inspired by one of my favorite movies, Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Ingredients | Kings Beach Emerald Bay Lake Tahoe Summer

3 cups hot water

2 tablespoons Italian red wine, or more to taste

2 tablespoons white sugar

¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

¼ teaspoon ground ginger

4 fresh spearmint leaves

1 leaf fresh mint leaf

½ apple, cubed

Directions

Combine water, red wine, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, spearmint leaves, and mint leaf in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and add apple to mixture. Simmer tea until apple breaks easily with a fork, about 5 minutes. Remove apple using a slotted spoon or strainer and pour tea into a mug.
